Lets get this show on the road.
  • I'll start by gathering the free music i can find on the internet. Then i'll organise it into folders with different different ambient settings for the different themes the games might have. That way i'll be able to make a music archive with music to use in all games we could think of making.

This approach is most likely to produce a result since noone appears to be composing music at the moment.

Any suggestions or ideas please write them here. Also post links if you find places with "opensource" (copyright free) music..
  • Great Cablefish!
I was begining to wonder if there would be anyone interested in the audio section or even produce/get stuff.

I have been messing around a bit with mixing some files using applications such as adobe audition and their loop library. Since I have access to legit copy I have composed some stuff but nothing really major. I also have been playing with lmms and hopefully I can export stuff some time down the road.

Browsed the white paper and the perfered format is S3M/XM/IT but I think we can also use OGG effectively without patenting issues. MP3 is good format but will get into trouble with distribution and patenting
