Woodsprite concept art
  • I thought I'd kick this section of the forum off with some concept art for one of the current games.

As mentioned on the mason todo list, treesprites are small monkey-like creatues with a barky skin.

Last year, I drew a sketch of a treesprite head, and I'm currently trying to nail down how the body is going to look.

  • Ok, and another one..

Just for the fun of it. I'm not quite happy with the skin texture yet.
  • Great Start  Now I would really like to see some background development. Perhaps bit of text on who, what, where and why. I think a couple of paragraphs will do. Give it some history and maybe a home that it may live in. Does it live in a tree or does it burrow in the ground. Or is it intelligent enough to actually make a home. That sort of stuff.

I would also like to see some color or a background environment.
  • Well, tree sprites are small, monkey-like creatures living in Glitterdark Forest.
Grown up specimen are about 30cm big. They have a brown, barky skin that allows them to blend in with the giant oaks of Glitterdark Forest.

Tree sprites are said to be the protectors of the forest, and it's always bad luck if you kill one. The Moraf woodcutters tell stories about accidents happening to people who killed tree sprites that I dare not repeat here.

They are said to live in abandoned holes of woodpeckers, but some woodcutters told of little houses under the roots of mighy oaks. Of course those people have been out in the woods for too long and should not be trusted.

Howdy, Stranger!
