Hi! Im new here!
  • As you can see I am new here. I currently don't know what client to download though.. I downloaded Ember just a little while ago. I don't know if I should of gotten a different client or something. Can you please help?
  • Ember is the most actively developed client right now.
However, you didn't describe your problem, so it's hard to help you.
  • I downloaded Ember too. I don't like CEGUI, it is slow as hell (much overhead) and it don't have hardware cursor function even through I asked developers (CE and Kulik) to add this feature. Ember has not intuitive controls, very very bad control system, author must spare some time to improve it, really. Which server is highly popular, or do any such server exists, wondering? :)

Do I allowed to steal resources and use in my own project, commerical or only non-commerical?
  • I'm sad to hear that you weren't pleased with your experience. Since this is an ongoing FOSS project we welcome all help with improving those things that you found lacking. The Launchpad is a good start.
Since we're not really presenting a complete game at this stage it's hard to say if a server is "popular". amber.worldforge.org is guaranteed to be recent and up though.

You are of course never allowed to steal anything. I'm guessing you meant "use". For that the licenses of the resources apply. For the code it's GPL, and for the media it's either GPL or GFDL.
  • To "use" I need just to mention WorldForge.org in my license or how?
  • You need to abide by the license. How you do that depends utterly on how the code or media is used, so we cannot give any blanket statements. The GPL and GFDL are very well written and easy to understand: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html

Note that if you have code using GPL media, the code itself is not considered a "derivative works" if it can run without the media being present (or easily replaced with other media). Other media might however be considered derivative works, if they are based on the GPL media.
