I thought its a good idea to blog a little, to reflect a state and share and discuss ideas.
After my system is ready now, im getting in contact, how Cyphesis and Ember work.
Actually im playing arround with the configs and the world itself, trying to understand, how all this works.
I have some problems with PostgreSQL, hate MySQL for adicting me and ill finally take the chance to learn how to handle Postgres.
This will need some more days but has to be eaten as my admin login wont work because of database account problems.
Ofcause i grow ideas.
Especially as i was invited to Bloodline Champions Beta, a Sandbox PvP game.
Now i thought, why not try to develop ideas arround a sandbox PvP game in Settler style ..!?
Ill keep that in mind for when i successfully created my first mountain and placed my first building in the world.
For now, it still needs overview and im learning :) -
I find Setllers a particularly inspiring game for fueling the creative fires. I'd really like to build a road transport system run by NPCs like the way goods are transported round the world in a Settlers game.
Good luck with your adventuring. If you can work things out, try recording videos of what you learn and uploading to youtube so others can learn too.
