Drawing fantasy world maps with gimp

I would like draw some fantasy world maps with a open source tool. I should look very fancy and professional.
I found tools for windows that could fit if there were OS: http://www.profantasy.com/products/cc3.asp
Is here anybody who has any experance in this art? A appropiate plugin for gimp?
