Hello all. I used to contribute to worldforge as ChienNoir, but kind of gave up on 3D.
I came back to what i know best wich is music. I'll be willing to contribute some tracks to WF from time to time. Some time ago someone asked me to try something in the ultima style, i finally gave it a try today, here's what i came up witk :

opinions welcome.
I more at ease in a rock/electro style, so let me know if that type of music can be usefull too.
The start is perhaps a bit too harsh and loud for background music, I like most of the passages later in the song though. What kind of environment / situation were you thinking it could be used for? It sounds like good background music for action / fighting, e.g. in a city / fort environment.
I was thinking that we might manage with two or three kinds of background music for each area to start with, one for traveling and doing boring stuff, another shorter one as a tension cue, perhaps indicating that something may happen soon, and a third one for battles or other intensive action (number two and three could actually be merged into one also). When the mood in the game changes the old music could be faded away, and the new music piece started from the start. Do you think that would work?
Would you like to do more background music?
Some possible alternatives, in priority orer:
* High priority: Cursed Forest slow and action background music. Area description: http://wiki.worldforge.org/wiki/Cursed_Forest * High priority: Bustling Fortress / Village slow and action background music * Medium priority: Haunted Graveyard (slow) & action background music * Medium priority: Flowering Tundra slow & action background music * Low priority: Cold Snow Plains slow & action background music
(We have a potential alternative for haunted graveyard slow music, by Dan Abbot).
It sounds good. much better than anything I could ever do . and my sister and brother also think that glitter dark is very good for a scary forest - my sister and brother can actually play music . orcish theme is also very good. with this music in Worldforge then music would be a great asset to Worldforge - it is certainly better than runescapes music (only other MMRPG I have played).
