    i want to use this to make a game and was wondering which files i need to download to do so? theres a whole bunch of them on the download page.... which do i download? all of them?

    Well, you would need the cyphesis server and the libs it depends on.

    Atlas-C++
    wfmath
    skstream
    mercator
    varconf

    But you should be aware that you still need to put in lots of work to create a game. Just less that writing everything from scratch. This is no "click your MMORPG" package. :)

    It's not the goal of WorldForge to provide a "click your MMORPG" at this point. Frankly, I think that would only lead to dozens of MMORPGs that all look completely the same. There's enough WoW clones out there, no need to produce a clicky-thingy to create even more clones.

    Good point. do the fedora add/remove programs load everything I've only seen sear and ember and cyphesis. and so far only sear works partly for me. If I go to someone else's server can I still test load art etc when I've created it. Is there a sand box that is wiped regularly like second life? Is their plans for one? It would make life simpler for the non programmers among us.

    Have you filed bugs against Fedora for the fact that these two programs don't work as shipped by them? The software we release does work, and if the packages included in Fedora don't then they need to know.
